Refund policy.

Fourteen days, no questions asked. The longer story for the cases that fall outside that window — and how this interacts with EU consumer law.

The 14-day window

Every MeetPing license comes with a 14-day, no-questions-asked refund window. The window starts on the date Stripe successfully captures your payment. Timezone is UTC. The cut-off is 23:59 UTC on the fourteenth day after purchase.

You do not have to give a reason. "Changed my mind", "wrong product", "works fine but I don't need it" — all fine.

How to request a refund

  • Email [email protected] from the address you used at checkout.
  • Include your license key, or the Stripe receipt number.
  • You do not need to fill in a form, give feedback, or talk to anyone.

How long it takes

We acknowledge the request within one business day and process the refund through Stripe within five (5) business days. Stripe then returns the funds to the original payment method. Card networks typically take a further 5 to 10 business days; the exact timing is on your bank, not on us.

If you paid in a currency other than the original capture currency, FX fluctuations between purchase and refund may leave a small gap. We refund the full amount Stripe captured; we cannot reimburse FX spread.

After the 14 days

Outside the no-questions window, refunds are at our sole discretion. We say yes when the situation looks reasonable to us:

  • A regression in a recent release breaks the app on your hardware and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time.
  • A critical bug renders the app unusable for 30 or more days and you have already reported it to us.
  • Your machine is no longer supported by a macOS version that MeetPing requires, and you bought recently in good faith.

We say no when the request is opportunistic — for example, end-of-quarter cleanup of a license bought 18 months ago that worked fine throughout.

Chargebacks

Please email us before filing a chargeback. Chargebacks cost both sides money and they prevent us from issuing a clean refund — once a dispute is open with your card issuer, the funds are frozen until the dispute resolves.

If you ask, we refund. There is no scenario in which a chargeback gets you your money back faster than an email to [email protected].

License revocation on refund

When a refund is processed, your license key is revoked. The next time the app tries to validate (typically within a few hours, or immediately on a manual relaunch) it disarms and stops watching for keywords. The app does not delete itself; we do not try to claw back the .app binary. It simply will not activate again on your machines or anyone else's.

Activations counted against your refunded license are released back into the pool — they do not haunt our database.

Statutory consumer rights (EU and UK)

Nothing in this policy reduces rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law. EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU for digital content.

Note however that under Article 16(m) of that directive, the right of withdrawal is lost as soon as performance of a digital-content contract begins with the consumer's prior express consent and acknowledgement that the right is thereby lost. By clicking purchase and immediately downloading or activating MeetPing, you give that consent and that acknowledgement.

We deliberately offer the 14-day refund anyway. If you are an EU or UK consumer who would prefer to rely on the statutory right of withdrawal rather than our policy, that right is still yours and you may invoke it on the same email address.
